Third Joyful Mystery

and she gave birth to her firstborn son.
She wrapped him in swaddling clothes
and laid him in a manger
because there was no room for them in the inn.

It is easy imagine the scene of Jesus' birth in a stable at Bethlehem.
In the poorest of places, and nothing of his own Jesus Christ was born.
He would remain poor, as one of us and the poor always found a welcome near him.

The multitude of angels filled the skys, praising God.
Shepards immediately left their flocks that they may too give praise to The Lord.
A magnificent star guided the wise men from the East.


Lord Jesus,
grant me the poverty of spirit,
that we find in Joseph and Mary.
and the true wisdom of your spirit.
