Fifth Joyful Mystery

After three days they found him
in the Temple
sitting in the midst of the teachers
listening to them,
and asking them questions.

Luke 2, 46

Another Temple story when Jesus was a young boy.
The only story the Gospels gives us of the boyhood of Jesus.

Jesus had stayed behind while the huge caravans rolled on threir way home.
His parents, thinking He was with relatives.
After three days of frantic searching they found Him in the Temple.
His mother said, "My Child, why have you done this to us?
See how worried Your father and I have been, looking for You?
Jesus replied, "why were you looking for Me?
Did you now know that I must be busy with My Father's affairs?".
His parents did not understand.

A special joy comes from finding what we thought lost.
The lesson is simple:
God makes our hearts for joy and will not let us lose treasures that truely matter.
Our joy comes from seeking Him.

"Ask and you shall receive,
seek and you shall find,
knock and it shall be opened to you".
Jesus teaches.
