As He blessed them He parted from them and was taken up to heaven.

Imagine the friends and followers of Jesus as they watched Him being lifted out of their sight.
After appearing to His disciples for over fourty days, He returns to God's presence-heaven.
Jesus had said, "Go out to the whole world: proclaim the Good News to all Creation."
Each one of us is responsible for that part of "creation". Where the Lord puts us and asks us to work.
The risen Jesus has further mission than just returning to life.
He has a mission to begin a new creation>
"I go to prepare a place for you," was His promise.
Lord Jesus, help me in my task of "making holy" all the people and things You bring into my life.
